I want my art to reflect the images in my mind whether it is planned or spontaneous.  My subject matter is colors and how it affects the various hues on a canvas.  In a sense, it is pure abstraction working together to create an extraordinary piece of art.  The different hues clash and the uncertainty of success is a hit or miss solution when I apply my brush to the canvas.  The experience results in a free and natural produced painting.

Colors are the heart and soul of my art.  They can collaborate together on the canvas to create and develop the feeling of oneness or unity in the overall composition.  But colors can be deceiving by resulting in an incompatibility of sorts that leaves the work feeling awkward and disengaging.  Unfortunately this can happen unintentionally even with a strategic plan. As I apply my brush to my canvas, I'm intrigued and inspired by the idea of a surprise waiting for me at the end of the enduring process.  If painter's block occurs, I know I can always start over again anticipating a potential surprise.
